SAMSUNG has launched in the Philippines two additions to its mid-range Galaxy A series: the A30 and the A50.

The new Galaxy A phones are geared towards helping users “live in the moment” and “capturing life as it happens,” Samsung Philippines said in a statement.

The Galaxy A50 features a triple rear camera: a main 25-megapixel (MP) camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP live focus camera. The phone also has a Scene Optimizer feature with 20 settings for adjusting and editing photos. The phone’s 25-MP front camera also improves selfie quality.

As for video, the phone has modes like slow-mo, hyperlaps, and ultra-wide.

The dual-SIM phone features a 2.3 GHz, 1.7 GHz octa-core chip with 6GB RAM and 128GB in internal storage, which is expandable via its MicroSD card slot. It comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with FHD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 and an on-screen fingerprint scanner. Battery life is at 4000mAh, equivalent to up to 23 hours of talk time or up to 19 hours of video playback, and offers fast charging.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy A30 has a dual rear camera — a 16MP main camera and a 5MP ultra-wide and live focus camera — and a 16MP front camera.

Like the A50, the A30 is dual-SIM capable and has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with FHD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080. Its fingerprint scanner is located at the back of the phone. It features a 1.8 GHz, 1.6 GHz octa-core chip, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory also expandable via a MicroSD card. Its battery life is also at 4000mAh. The phone likewise offers fast charging.

The A50 comes in white, black, and blue and a 3D “glasstic” back, while the A30 has a glossy finish and has two colors: black and white.

The Galaxy A50 and A30 are now available at any Samsung-authorized stores nationwide and online partners Abenson, Argomall, Lazada, Memo Express and Shopee with a suggested retail price of P17,990 and P13,990, respectively.
